Samuel Newman is a singer, songwriter and producer from the South West of England. Raised in a creative household on Devon’s south coast, he grew up listening to an eclectic mix of classic and contemporary pop, soul, and folk, and was encouraged to start writing songs at an early age. Picking up the guitar at 8, Sam was soon performing at gigs and festivals before learning how to record and produce his music as a teenager. After 3 years studying History at university, Sam returned to Devon to focus on music in 2024. Championed by BBC Introducing, he was awarded Track of the Week for his songs ‘The Island’ and ‘Your Time Will Come’, and was recently named a Featured Artist in the South West.
Samuel Newman’s upcoming EP ‘Ticking of the Clock’ is set for release in May 2026.
