Samuel Newman is a singer, songwriter and producer from the South West of England. Raised in a creative household on Devon’s south coast, he grew up listening to an eclectic mix of classic and contemporary pop, soul, and folk, and was encouraged to start writing songs at an early age. Picking up the guitar at 8, Sam was soon performing at gigs and festivals before learning how to record and produce his music as a teenager. He has since been championed by BBC Introducing, who named him a Featured Artist in the South West, as well as Yamaha Music London, who awarded him an Ambassadorship for 2026.
